Fissidens Fontanus Moss Mat

Fissidens Fontanus, also known as Phoenix Moss, is a beautiful aquarium moss with a soft, feathery look. It grows in little fan-like patterns that give your tank a really natural, aged-in look.

This moss mat is perfect for shrimp tanks and aquascapes. Shrimp love grazing through the moss for biofilm, and baby shrimp or fry can use it as a safe place to hide. You can place the mat right on your substrate, around hardscape, or use it to help create a lush carpeted look without needing a high-tech setup!

Fissidens is a slower-growing moss, but that’s part of what makes it so nice. It stays neat, looks full, and doesn’t take over the tank as fast as some other mosses.
