The toucan tetra is a unique tetra not commonly seen for sale and can be highly sought after in the aquarium hobby. This tetra is ideal for small habitats due to its small size.
Fish should be provided lots of hiding places, natural leaf litter, driftwood, etc. These fish would be a great addition to tanks that have other micro-rasboras, small corydoras catfish, otocinclus, and other friendly tank mates.
These unique tetras will max out around 3/4 of an inch, with most reaching only 1/2 an inch.
The scientific name for the Toucan Tetra is: Tucanoichthys tucano
Our tetras feed on frozen foods such as daphnia, cyclopods and baby brine shrimp along with freshly hatched baby brine shrimp
