The Pygmy Corydoras is a great nano catfish endemic to the Rio Basin in Brazil. These catfish are great additions to nano aquariums do to their small size and schooling behavior like other corydoras catfish. They have a common catfish appearance. They are silver in color with one black line through the center of the body. Pygmy Corydoras can be shy so they need appropriate tank mates and should be kept in groups of at least 5 or more.
Pygmy Corydoras often max out in size of just over an inch and are a great community fish for aquariums with fish of similar size and activity level.
The scientific name for the Pygmy Corydoras is: Corydoras Pygmaeus
We feed our Pygmy Corydoras a mix of frozen foods including daphnia, baby brine and cyclops. We occasionally feed them Northfin Veggie and algae wafers. Will accept live foods if prepared.

very happy with them
I love my pigmy corydoras I received from flip aquatics. They are in one of my 20 gallon shrimp tanks. I immediately fell in love with how adorable they are. They are so small & are a perfect addition to my shrimp tank. They arrived fast & so healthy. I drip acclimated them to the tank to adjust to the temperature difference from shipping.
These little guys are the cutest little fat sausages every. Everyone came in alive and healthy. They are in quarantine now, looking forward to getting them into the main tank
This has recently become my favorite fish! It came as a total surprise. I usually prefer colorful fish, so I alway overlooked these little guys. What a mistake! What they lack in color, they more than make up for in sheer personality. Their swimming habits - they dart around the tank fearlessly (even when I had only 2!). The way they group together like they're having meetings about what to do and where to go next. They seem really hardy, which may be due to Flip's way of caring for their fish before they sell them (probably!). Their body movements are like little birds, landing on different things in the tank. They are always in action, all over the place. I just love them. And Flip has so far sold me two different batches, all healthy and happy. So pleased!
Like most Cory Cats they look like living wind up toys and busily go about their day hunting for food stuffs around the aquarium.
