The Marble Hatchet is one of the most popular Hatchet fish due to it's body pattern and smaller size.  They have marbling brown over their silver body. They spend most of their time on the top of the water looking for bugs on the surface to eat.  They enjoy a planted tank that contains some floating plants to hide under. This fish is a schooling fish and spends most its time in the top water in the aquarium. They are sociable and do well in community aquariums.
