The Dennerle Extendable Snail Catcher is designed to catch/remove small snails (great for pond snails, and smaller ramshorn snails). This snail catcher is designed with ease in mind. It extends to a variety of lengths great for different sized aquariums. Easily dispose of snails by opening up the trap
Key Features:
I got some assassin snails and a few plants all came in healthy and packaged very well. Also do appreciate the instructions that were included as I am new to plants and the needs of specific plants. Thank y’all. Have not used the the snail catcher as my assassins are making quick work of the ramshorn that I initially bought the catcher for lol.
Catches all snails even the small baby ones
SUPER PRODUCT. BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE FOR MY FRIEND WHO OWNS A TROPICAL FISH STORE AND HE WAS HAPPY TO GET IT AND THOUGHT IT WAS GREAT.
Hello, fast delivery the great item it works good gets rid of all those baby shrimp that are stuck to your glass. A lot better than sitting there with a tweezers trying to sit and pick them all off you can just scoop them off with this works great highly recommended.
These little snail catcher devices are really clever: you put it against the glass of your tank, roll it upwards over the snails, and they are deposited into a little holding tank that is hinged & can be dumped out.
My main problem with it is how cheaply it is made. One drop to the ground could break it. Considering how expensive it is, you’d expect it to not feel disposable.
Other things to note: the head of the wand (that catches the snails) isn’t flexible at all. This means it isn’t effective at an angle (like trying to get snails off of a side of the tank you can’t stand directly over. If it was a little flexible, it would be much more useful! Also, keep in mind that this will not remove snails from plants or substrate or anything that isn’t perfectly flat.
All of that being said, I like using this. It’s telescoping handle means that for most of my tanks, I don’t have to get my hands wet to use it. I see a snail on the front glass, I quickly grab it and I’m done.
Fingers crossed that they take a really great idea and make the product equally great!
