so i shouldve given the shrimp some time to adjust, so the rest of the rest of the shrimp are slowly starting to come around as 2 of the four shrimp look up to par, the other two are showing a little clear and pinkish instead of the nice clean white but i guess my expectations were just a little high. my apologies to rob and the flip aquatics company as i gave the one star rating on the quality of color but overall 5 star for the health of the shrimp. i was just so used to seeing high grade red galaxy fishbones and high grade red fancy tigers that my first overall impression of the white fancy tiger shrimp was disappointing. i guess shipping of these shrimp took a toll on them and stressed them out to the point that they looked like really low grade crystal shrimp. i hope the other two come around... if i knew how to edit the first review i would. the overall experience from ordering from flip aquatics have always been great and im grateful for the free samples of brightwell. heres a pic of the once clear shrimp that came around and colored up well...
first off, I like the flip aquatics company and what they do for the hobby. I just received my four WFT shrimp today and they came in healthy but i was very very disappointed in the quality of these expensive shrimp. I had very high hopes with these shrimp as i relied on the reviews and aswell as watching these exact shrimp of LR brets youtube channel (latest flip tour video ) and aswell as Robs latest video ( the video in which his chicken coupe burned down). in those particular videos the shrimp look amazing! and thats what made me purchase these shrimp. but unfortunately once Ive acclimated them and had them settle, only one of them look up to par... the other three look almost clear in color. I would've rather paid for the regular mid grade red fancy tiger had i known this. Ive purchased from flip aquatics before and was very happy of my fancy red tiger culls and red pintos i had purchased last year. But again for the price of these shrimp i was very disappointed. im grateful for the health of these shrimp and aswell as the free brightwell samples, its just the quality of color of these shrimp that ive received are quite bad except for one male. Id like to continue purchasing shrimp from this company as they make this hobby enjoyable but this paritcular purchase has me on the fence.
White Fancy Tiger Shrimp - Carbon Line
A+ quality. They perked right up as soon as they hit water.
These are beautiful white shrimp with vivid red accents! I received what looks to be 2 males and 2 females. All are doing well! Can’t wait to include them into my breeding program.
