Sugar White Bio-Substrate

Aqua Natural’s Sugar White Bio-Substrate is a high-quality, natural substrate designed to enhance both the appearance and health of your aquatic environment. Crafted from 100% natural materials, this substrate is free from artificial dyes, coatings, and harmful chemicals, making it safe for sensitive aquatic life, including fish, invertebrates, and plants. Triple-washed for low dust, Aqua Natural Sugar White Bio-Substrate is easy to clean and minimizes cloudiness during setup. It provides a stable base for plant roots, promoting healthy growth in planted tanks, while also supporting beneficial bacteria to foster a balanced and thriving.

Nitrifying Bacteria

Each pack includes bio-activated live nitrifying bacteria, designed to be used as a standalone substrate or mixed with dry substrate to promote a balanced and healthy aquarium. The patented formula contains live Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter bacteria, which efficiently break down harmful ammonia and convert it into nitrates, supporting water quality.

Directions for Use:

Primary Use (Without Mixing with Dry Substrate):

  • Use 1 lb (450 g) of Bio-Substrate for every 1 gallon (3.8 liters) of water.
  • Do not rinse the substrate before use.
  • Spread it evenly and slowly fill the tank with water to avoid disturbing the substrate.
  • Start the filter after the tank is filled. Any initial cloudiness will settle over time.

Mixed Use (Combined with Dry Substrate):

  • Use 1 lb (450 g) of mixed live Bio-Substrate and dry substrate per 1 gallon (3.8 liters) of water at a 1:4 ratio (1 part live to 4 parts dry).
  • Do not rinse the substrate before use.
  • Thoroughly mix the Bio-Substrate with the dry substrate, spread evenly, and fill the tank slowly to minimize disturbance.
  • Start the filter once the tank is filled. Initial cloudiness will clear over time.

The live Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter bacteria in this product are completely safe for aquatic life. For best results, pair with Aqua Natural’s dry substrate options.
