Stained water, filter is taking stain away.Tied some plants to it.
Just received my order about 5 min ago. In my order was the Mopani 3 pack driftwood. I added a note in my order that I was using the wood for a 55 gallon & 38 gallon shrimp tanks. Rob and the guys sent 3 really good sized pieces that fit both aquariums well. The shape and color of this wood gives it such character. This wood is going to be a breeze to add plants onto it.The wood is heavy and sank to the bottom of the tanks right away.I added a picture of the two pieces in the 55, the 38 does not have a light on the tank yet. The piece in the 38 gallon is about 12-14 inches to give you an idea of just how big all 3 pieces of wood are. Just make sure you put in the notes what tank size or sizes you are working with (if ordering the 3 pack like I did). Rob and the guys will not disappoint with the wood they select for you! Once these tanks are cycled and ready to go I will be coming back for CRS shrimp from Rob.
Thanks again Rob for the absolutely beautiful Mopani Driftwood.
Pieces were of appropriate size and good color. All three had the flat side which does limit placement if that is a concern. Worked for me since they are integrated with the live plants and not as a main focus. I am happy with the purchase as I have been with every purchase so far.
I purchased a three piece package with a request that one or more of the pieces be able to stand up for a vertical look. That is exactly what I got. All the pieces are substantial and interesting. Thanks Flip Aquatics.
I GOT A PIECE OF THE MOPANI WOOD, AND NOT SURE HOW TO FIX IT. iT HAS WHITE FLOWING SLAME ALL OVER IT. PLANTS WOOD THE GLASS WALLS EVERY THING. LOOK REALLY BAD. I HAVE BOILED IT THREE TIMES LIKE FISH SHOP TOLDED ME TO DO. STILL REAL BAD. I would like to do shrimp as a hobb. I have a pair of cherry shrimp. I have had them for 10 months, and I just love my shrimp. They were in a 1 and half gal, tank, Its a little harder to keep them alive in such a little tank, the fish shop told me. So I have a bigger tank now and got some plants, the soil love it, alder cones, cholla wood, and Indian almond leaves, how I'm I doing so far, O.K. back to the list. Drip acclimation kits, and mineral balls, and stones, moss balls, So you can see I want to do the right thing for my shrimp. they are so funny. I'll go to one end of the tank, and here she comes swimming jumping till she gets to me, than I'll move to another spot here she comes swimming jumping to come and see me again. But with all the slim from my wood piece has slowed them down, my snail also. With me having health problems. They seem to help me to forget about my pain somethings. Nothing else can be done. But these little shrimp are giving me a new light to look forward to everyday. So if you have anything to share to a new hobbist ( Is that a word) oh well you know what I mean. Also there is like saw dust everywhere to from the wood. Help.....I can't order shrimp from you until every things working together. Have been working on this about 3 and 1/2 weeks so far. well hope to hear from you soon. From your new and forever customer.
