More Information:

When asked, “What is the most essential part to a successful shrimp tank?” we will always respond with three key factors: leaf matter, java moss, and a piece of driftwood. As far as driftwood goes, Malaysian driftwood is our number one choice. We have many reasons for why we use Malaysian driftwood so we will cover those briefly.

The first reason why Malaysian driftwood is great for the aquarium is because it sinks. Unlike other woods, Malaysian driftwood is so dense that it will instantly sink. This means no waiting for it to water log, no anchoring it and most importantly no hassle. The second reason we use Malaysian driftwood, or any driftwood for that matter, is because it creates surface area. What we mean is this, shrimp need places to hide, graze and sit on. By adding driftwood to an aquarium, one can more than double the surface area in a tank. Nice piece!

Ordered the small Malaysian driftwood and it was a really nice piece! It was actually bigger than what I thought I would get. And I didn’t even have to boil it beforehand. Will plan on ordering other types of wood in the future!

Awesome piece! Perfect for shrimp.

I’m super happy with the driftwood. Perfect size for my 10g shrimp tank. Left me plenty of room for some plants and didn’t take up the spotlight. I boiled it three times for an hour to help release as much tannins as possible and kill any parasites etc. Would definitely purchase again!

Great Experience

Ordering hard scape pieces unseen are tricky for me since I have smaller tanks so getting a larger piece of wood won't work for me. I ordered 3 pieces and I added a note that I had Nano tanks hoping to receive smaller pieces and all of the pieces I received were nice and worked for my tanks. I really appreciate the fact that they made an effort to read the note and to provide a product that I could use. I will definitely order from them again!
